Mission Statement

To provide a vehicle for networking and for the continuing education, support and encouragement of professional and lay counselors who use Holy Spirit led healing prayer and scripture as a means to bring healing to the body, mind and spirit of those they minister to.

 

Our vision is one of fellowship and support for individuals who use Holy Spirit led prayer as a part of counseling individuals within the body of Christ. To provide this support, it is our desire to provide a vehicle where those within the membership can share insights and understanding which will benefit the entire membership of IAOPC.

This organization is meant to be interactive; not just receiving insight from its leadership. We desire the membership to have input in the growth and change of the organization where appropriate and to have access to the leadership as much as possible.

As an organization, we can provide an environment of learning, fellowship, networking and like mindedness to the membership. Through a referral network we seek to provide prayer counseling support as a service to the general public. Through an online environment, a system of support for one another will be available when there are questions, if someone needs prayer support or advice with regard to a counseling situation they are facing. Members who have resources they would like to share can do so with approval from the association board. A training program will be established to provide ongoing education to the membership through prayer counseling training, seminars and conferences.

This organization seeks to bring new and updated information to its membership by being available to hear revelation the Lord is showing those in the field and making appropriate information available to the membership.  IAOPC would like to expand with local chapters which can further support membership at a more personal level. 

 

Purpose

The IAOPC is a non-profit organization committed to honoring our Lord Jesus Christ.  It does so by providing support and encouragement of professional and lay counselors who use Holy Spirit led healing prayer as a means to bring healing to the body, soul and spirit of those whom they counsel and minister.  IAOPC exists to facilitate relationship between its members, provide leadership in the field of prayer counseling, facilitate the growth and continuing education of its membership, educate the general public with regard to prayer counseling and its principles, and also supports and upholds ethical and biblical conduct within the field of prayer counseling.

As an Association we are committed to:
